VERY RARE Lloyd Gladstone Gough Centrepin 1 of 6 Made

Here we have a unique and very well engineered Large 5 7/8” Narrow Caged Drum Centrepin Roach Reel made by LLOYD GLADSTONE GOUGH it is No 6 of only side ever made reels but in fact this is The ONLY ONE in this largest and last reel ever made, the other 5 reels were all 5” diameters making this reel unique the only one in existence So a must for any collector. Built from polished best grade Aluminium Alloy in the late 1950s early 60s. Lloyd G Gough was a well known Roach Fisherman who was a regular writer and contributor to THE CREEL Magazine featuring this reel in the March 1964 edition ( included with the reel as is all the related documents & ephemera) certainly a museum piece. The reel has been lightly used having twin Ivorine handles, a micro tensioner, caged drum for left or right hand use this reel was designed in this largest size for extra line control and fast retrieving when long trotting. Great to fish with and catch a few red fin!
