Rare EALING B.JAMES MKIV Built Cane Carp Rod

This is a rare rod built by B.James of Ealing as inscribed in Indian ink with Richard Walker MKIV, what’s unique about this rod is that it’s never had any intermediate whippings, as was with the The OLYMPIC model which was the Avocet rod without intermediate whippings, again a rare model. This RW MKIV has the early dark whippings as seen on the early signature rods with collared trumpet handle, re-enforced brass ferrule, early clear agate butt and tip rings, nice and straight built with the dark Bob Southwell canes. A fine traditional classic rod to fish with and highly collectible.
