Rare Antique Hardy Bros 2 5/8” HOUGHTON Perfect Fly Reel

In very good condition, a very rare small size HOUGHTON 2 5/8” WIDE Drum, in white metal, having a 1904 raised spring check mechanism with rim tensioner, with early oval logo and straight logos, the Houghton Perfects were designed and Commissioned circa 1896 by THE HOUGHTON CLUB as generally Hardys made the narrow drum perfects in 1/8s”, Houghtons reels are Wide drums, a highly collectible reel. this size reel very rarely turns up for sale, especially in this fine condition. It measures exactly 2 5/8” cage diameter, the spool is 2 1/8” and 1” wide. A collectors piece for sure..
