Rare Antique Brass fisherman’s balance

This is a very scarce brass fish balance made by Salter, it has a unique holding gauge to all an accurate weight measurement up to 12lbs, no doubt a deluxe or much improved spring balance of its day, a great antique fishing accessory, first one I’ve seen and owned.
