Antique P.D MALLOCH 3/4 Wood Block Carved Beautifully Artistically Painted Atlantic Salmon 1936

This is a superb piece of Angling History and Artistic Craftsmanship by Malloch of Perth Scotland, a rare 3/4 Wood Block carved and then naturalistically hand painted , each scale is painstakingly individually painted, the colours are stunning turquoise blues and greens, and mounted onto graduated grey/green oak framed presentation back board with Makers details and white painted legends of the Catch details showing a large 28lb Altlanic Salmon caught in 1936 from the River Eden , the Prize fish was carved and professionally preserved in this stunning format. Generally wood carved salmon were always done in 1/2 block but Mallochs went that much further carving a 3/4 block. Hence why these master pieces are rare and highly sought after for decorative investments. A similar pair of Malloch slightly larger salmon recently sold in a specialist auction for over £40000.00 with commission. Showing the high class that these salmon hold.
